Immediate Need for Volunteers
Currently, we need volunteers to deliver meals due to a surge in request for delivery. It takes 1 to 1.5 hours to deliver meals, which are picked up from our kitchen at the Church of Christ Uniting in Kingston, PA at 9:30. If you can help please call Amy at 570-288-1023 for details.
Looking for a different volunteer option? Other volunteer positions typically work on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Look at our open positions listed below and let us know how you can help.
Volunteers keep our Meals on Wheels program in Motion!
We are currently seeking volunteers for these roles:
Prepare Meals
Help in the kitchen by preparing meals and packing for delivery. Volunteers arrive at 7am to pack the daily meals into boxes in preparation for our Delivery specialists (drivers and meal runners) to begin their routes between 9-10am.
Deliver Meals
Pick up meals at a central location and hand deliver them directly to our customers’ homes. Our Delivery Specialists use their own vehicle and are not paid. They typically deliver meals along with a Meal Runner to the clients on their designated route. Delivery Specialists can choose to volunteer for as few or as many days as they would like. Occasionally Delivery Specialists are asked to fill in for another route if that driver is absent. Meals are typically delivered M-F around 10:30am.
Events Support
Support local fundraising events by planning, organizing, generating publicity, setting up, and more.
Office Assistance
Help out in the office by contributing much needed administrative, professional, and clerical support.

For just $6 per day, we can provide a person in need with breakfast and lunch, home-delivered by our friendly volunteers. Your gift will help sustain and grow our impact!
NOTE: During Covid we are only delivering M/W/F at $7 per day
