Featured Volunteer: Patty Kopec

“My name is Patty Kopec, and I have been a volunteer with Meals on Wheels Wyoming Valley for the past 9 years. I LOVE making connections with people, and I get to do just that while delivering them a healthy, nutritious meal. It seems to mean so much to them when I greet them at the door, and I look forward to seeing and chatting with them each week. Over my 9 years, I have done various routes we serve from Sugar Notch to Wilkes-Barre and the Back Mountain Area. It doesn’t take much more than 1 hour.

I have proudly been involved with Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley on various levels, and I do my volunteering all in memory of my Aunt and Uncle. I feel good knowing I am PERSONALLY helping the community at large in delivering affordable, healthy meals while making meaningful CONNECTIONS with others.”
